The 2021 Exsence is almost a full ounce lighter than its predecessor due to the addition of an MGL rotor. Already super lightweight due to its magnesium body, by cutting weight out of the top of the reel it is easier to start and stop the rotation. The reel is smoother and you'll get more fish to the boat. As with all new reels, one of the main focuses is improving the drivetrain to make it more efficient and quieter. The addition of a MicroModule gear II system achieves this. Turn the handle and the 2021 Exsence feels great!
